Haiku is a form of Japanese verse and is based on 17 syllables arranged in 3 lines and made up from 5 syllables; 7 syllables and on the third line a further 5 syllables. I love playing around with words and try to structure them in this way to create a moment of (usually) Nature observed. Not all of the haiku poems conform to this strict regime. I sometimes deviate.

I love reading the Haiku and will be visiting regularly to see what you’ve added

Congratulations Dan, some lovely observations. I came across them while looking for some haiku to “scatter” around the garden on ceramic tiles!
